Richard Tette

Opening Reception: Saturday, October 14, 4:00 - 7:00pm

Dates: October 4, 2023

- November 6, 2023

Richard Tette‘s solo exhibition titled Backroads, captures a wide range of rural Central Coast locales. The artist works from memories gathered over decades of travels along California backroads stretching from King City to Half Moon Bay. Tette channels these reminiscences of rustic homes, crumbling barns, big still skies, rising mons, vernal pools, and lazy streams into profoundly serene acrylic paintings.

These scenes depict an earlier way of life and create a sense of deep longing for old-school values and simpler, slower times. It is no wonder that with their powerful ability to resonate tranquility, Tette’s paintings are so often selected for bedrooms and offices.
