Jerry Van Megert

Opening Reception: Saturday, November 11, 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Dates: November 8, 2023

- December 4, 2023

Jerry Van Megert is a legend in his time. This Master Artist, known chiefly by his last name only, claims the title of “The Painter of Pebble Beach,” where he has lived and created landscapes and seascapes of iconic Central Coast scenes for over fifty years.

Van Megert’s solo retrospective exhibition titled Van Megert: A Master Pointer of the Monterey Peninsula demonstrates his unique style and idiosyncratic vertical signature. Through the decades he has graced a wide range of natural scenes from Monterey to the Big Sur coastline rendered in soft color palettes. His paintings often feature “Van Megert blue” skies and, if you look closely, a family of deer camouflaged somewhere in the composition.

Artist book signing: Jerry Van Megert will be present to sign books at the opening reception for his show, set for Saturday, November 11, from 4 to 7 pm.
