The CAA warmly welcomes two new Artist Members: Jessica Bovert and Kirstine Reiner Hansen. In collaboration, Bovert and Hansen add their fresh, unique artistic visions and techniques to the historic Carmel Art Association’s current collection.
Jessica Bovert is a textile artist that operates her creative practice within the confines of her alpaca farm in Carmel Valley. Resourcing her wool from these animals, she creates color block compositions that are geometric yet remain organic.
Kirstine Reiner Hansen, Danish-born artist based in Carmel, paints abstractly by deconstructing space and the objects that occupy these realms. Reimagining form and defying perspective, she tests the eye to create intriguing compositions. For Hansen, a figure is never just a figure, nor is a room just a room.
