Miguel A. Dominguez

Miguel A. Dominguez, (also known as Miguelin) a Carmel native, was born in 1971 and showed an early interest in art. At the tender age of nine he began studying with renowned regional watercolorist Nancy Johnson, and continued working with her for three summers. The spontaneity of his paintings still reveals her influence on his work.

At home, he received further instruction from his father, Miguel Dominguez (a prominent member of the Carmel Art Association). Remarkably, at age eleven, Miguelin began exhibiting at the Red Door Gallery in Morro Bay; he also exhibited at the Beeches Gallery in Carmel.

He has been a member of the Carmel Art Association since 1995.
