Gallery Showcase

Helene Goldstein

Helene Goldstein's paintings express her interest in color--the richness and purity that comes forth when layers of intense color are applied so that they sparkle through one another. The effect is reminiscent of stained glass, with a translucent glow softened by overlays of dry-brush work. Her still life florals are all imaginary, heroic flowers, invented for purposes of design, emotion, and color interplay.

Opening Reception: Saturday, April 5, 5 - 7 pm

Apr 03 - May 06

Gallery Showcase

Michie Long
All new large-scale oil paintings. Long's figurative work draws from mythical and/or psychological themes, but with composition being in the forefront of his approach to his pieces.  "My major concern is composition: the lights and darks, overlapping planes, and variations of color, value and shapes."

Opening Reception: Saturday, April 5, 5 - 7 pm
