Jane Goode was born in Illinois, graduated from Northwestern University and studied landscape painting at the Chicago Art Institute. She completed four years at the Art Center College of Design in California, and has made the Monterey Peninsula her home since 1967. She became a member of the Carmel Art Association in 1983.
